The Portable Heating System

When most people think of installing a furnace it is usually a natural gas type that comes to mind, since this is one of the most popular choices. However there is an alternative to this kind of heating system, though it is not actually an alternative heating system itself, but one that uses a different type of gas. This is known as the LP furnace, or liquid petroleum furnace, which is also known as a propane gas furnace. Just like the natural gas counterpart, the propane furnace uses a heat exchanger, a burner, gas valve, and also a vent in order to send the heat out into the room. They can be a great choice for people who do not want to rely on natural gas, or those who do not have a natural gas supply.

It is possible to get a high efficiency furnace that uses this type of fuel, and this rise in efficiency is usually brought about by adding options to the furnace itself, including an air filter or humidifier. When looking at how efficient furnaces are you need to check the AFUE rating, with a 95% AFUE rating being very efficient indeed. This can save a lot of money on power bills, which means they can be a very popular choice.

However one of the most important aspects of this type is the fact that it is portable, and so can be fitted in almost any room in the house. And natural gas furnaces will obviously need a natural gas supply, but an LP furnace will use a portable gas supply and so can be moved anywhere. This makes them far more versatile than the fixed furnace type.

Variable blower speeds

It can be an idea to look for a modern furnace that has as many of the improvements that have come about in the past few years as is possible. A variable blower speed is essential, since this will have a great effect on how well the room is heated. A 2-stage model is also something that is worthy of consideration, because this will give you far more flexibility in the heating system, enabling you to control the temperature in the house to a very fine degree. Most furnaces will have some kind of safety system fitted, and this can be an essential choice, with things such as a safety system that turns off the fan if there is any kind of malfunction.

As with the standard gas furnace, this type will also have an automatic thermostat which will turn the heating on and off at pre-programmed times. This means the furnace will fire up in the morning and make sure that the house is full by the time everyone gets out of bed. The warmth can usually be supplied him at a high temperature almost immediately, so that there is no waiting around for the house to get warm in the morning. Due to the fact that an LP furnace can be highly efficient, it can not only save on the gas bill, but also on the electricity bill, so that it does not need to be run all day long.

Direct vent LP furnace costs A direct vent LP gas furnace is the Rinnai EX22P. Retailing at $1,500, this is a small propane furnace, measuring 29½" wide x 21" high, and giving 21,500 BTU output, with a maximum temperature of 80° F in 2° increments. There is also the Housewarmer HWDV18. This gives 18,000 BTU output, and can be wall-hung, with a 4 amp blower, thermostat. There is also the Empire FAW55 wall furnace, giving 55,000 BTU output. Retailing at $1,300, this is a vented furnace with intermittent spark ignition and wall thermostat.

As can be seen, a propane furnace can be a great choice for someone who does not have a natural gas supply, and also for someone who wants flexibility in what they cite the furnace. Many companies make these types of units, and simply by doing a bit of research you will find that you have many choices available to you.

A LP furnace should be able to heat a large house from what i know. I'm researching the LP furnace types now and looking at reviews to find all the technical specifications.

I think a small propane furnace is one of the best heating types you can get. They pump out a lot of heat and can be used for hot water heating too.

I had heard that propane furnaces can give good output and keep the house warm even in winter. I'm really glad I found this site because the information about heat output and types of LP furnace have made my choice much easier.

There are many different liquid propane models on the market now, and most of them have technology that is as good as the things you find in the natural gas furnaces. These include automatic ignition and digital timers in order to turn it on in the morning. My friend has one of these and she tells me I will be making a choice by buying a similar thing.

I used to have a propane furnace years ago and it always gave a really good heat output. Now I am looking at buying a new one because the place I have just moved into does not have a natural gas pipeline. It seems that they have improved a lot over the years and now the LP furnaces are as good as the natural gas models.

I have been looking at several models of propane furnace and this article really has given me some pointers in the right character. I want a fairly small propane model because it is a furnace for an apartment not a house. Now I am going to do a bit more research into what I can get the best furnace deal in this type.
